Herb and Chi was brought to life by two women dedicated to the healing arts. We're Sharon Emery and Lauren Glucina, and we're here to help you feel at home and at peace within your body and Soul.

We offer a complementary blend of advanced TCM spiritual healing with evidence-based naturopathy, the time-honoured tradition of herbalism, and modern nutrition.

The clinic

For the best part of 20 years I worked predominately as a marketing professional in the fast-paced UK fashion industry. However, a brain injury in 2009 would conclude my marketing career.

Never one to be held back, the sliding doors of opportunity took me on a profound journey of holistic health. I would experience many different modalities in my quest for optimal wellbeing but it would be the introduction to a Traditional Chinese Medicine Spiritual Chi Healer, that would transform my life.

My training

Since undergoing treatment and largely recovered from my brain injury, life long gut & reproductive issues, I took the bold and exhilarating decision to train in this modality, so, over the past two years I have been personally mentored and tutored by a global leader in Spiritual TCM.

During my training there were a couple of crucial 'light bulb moments', the first was how this modality looks for & treats the cause of a health issue, the second was understanding the complexities of blocked energy, the many forms it presents and how stagnation at soul level can morph into differing degrees of illness in the body.

For me, I was pretty much congested from head to toe but once these energetic blockages were identified and removed, my body began to heal bringing with it renewed vitality and wellness.

I have studied naturopathy, Western herbal medicine and nutrition in Australia and New Zealand. I’ve been mentored over the years by some of the greatest minds in our industry, and have done extensive training in diagnostics. More recently, I have had the privilege of being mentored in spiritual TCM by one of the leaders in this field.

But not only that, I have the personal and professional experience to be able to help you unpack the complexities of ill health and get you started on the road to recovery.

So whether you're seeking more energy, balanced moods, or to reduce stress, you've come to the right place.

When you show up to a consult with me feeling like you’ve lost a wheel, trust me, I get it.

Rock bottom is a place I’ve come to know quite well, thanks to some extremely debilitating health conditions.

I could list them all but we’ll run out space – briefly, it goes something along the lines of blood clots, autoimmunity, chronic inflammation/pain and the worst of them all, chronic fatigue syndrome.

These experiences have just made me a better practitioner.

In clinical practice, I love supporting exhausted women back from the ashes of burnout, helping them calm their nervous systems, improve mental wellbeing, heal from stress and trauma, boost energy and adopt strategies that keep them in the slow lane (in the best possible way!).

Outside of clinical practice, I have run a long-standing food and wellness blog by the name of Ascension Kitchen, made a foray into the food industry with a range of healthy desserts, and spoken at wellness events and retreats across Australia and New Zealand.
